Angie's was made a restaurant in 1962. This was the family home so that is why the room at the back is so narrow. A lot of folks do ask about the design. It started with 32 seats at the front. This area was the front porch and front lawn. There were a number of homes and a service station beside the house.The mill was in the back yard. In 1964 Bill Graham was killed by a drunk driver and Angie and 5 children kept the business going. In 1966 Angie expanded into the living room of the house and a year later expanded into what was the dining room and kitchen of the house.Michael Graham and his sister Teresa Huegle bought the business in 1971 and also in 1974 expanded to a second location in St.Agatha. Angie's Country Kitchen. This was a hotel from 1854 and was completly burned out when bought. It took till 1976 to open. It caters to a number of locals and bus groups on there way to Stratford, Ontario. It is also a half way point for folks traveling to Goderich and Lake Huron area. Angie's caters off site to corporate, family and all occasion functions. Angie's has a liquer catering endorsement. Please call 519-747-1700 for any information. We still bake our own butter tarts, bread & pies from scratch. We are known for our family style service where all your food is presented in bowls and on platters to your table.
